What we look at
A home is read as a whole before it is read in parts. We begin with the plot and its surroundings — the slope of the land, the roads that approach it, what sits to the north-east and what sits to the south-west — because these set the conditions every room inside then inherits.
Inside, the main entrance is the single most consequential element. From there we work through the kitchen and its fire point, the placement of beds and the direction of sleep, water sources and drainage, staircases, mirrors, and the treatment of the centre of the home.
Remedies that respect your home
Breaking walls is a last resort, not a first prescription. In the overwhelming majority of homes, the correction lies in re-purposing rooms, relocating heavy mass, adjusting the fire and water points, changing what colours and materials sit in which direction, and closing off energy leaks.
Every remedy in your report is written so you can hand it to a contractor or carry it out yourself, with a note on what each change is meant to shift.
